WHO WE ARE
Interco Fabrications is a subsidiary company of The BRT Group. The BRT Group is a second and third generation family owned, Canadian company located in the Kawarthas. We have specialized in custom designing and fabricating dock systems for over 30 years. Our dock systems are hand crafted with only the highest quality made hardware to last generations. We strive to provide quality service and craftsmanship from our family to yours!
HISTORY
In 1976, Interco Fabrications was founded by Phil Burrett and his brother in law, Bob Kempt, as a welding and heavy truck garage. In the mid 70s when trucking was a very energizing and vital part of the economy, when fuel prices were reasonable, two brothers in law tapped into this growing industry. Over time, as the economic environment was changing, so did Interco Fabrications. In 1990, during a fishing trip to Manitoba, they formed a friendship and a business relationship, with Hughey McInnis, a local dock builder. They brought his ideas and skills home to the Kawartha Lakes and have steadily grown the company. In the early 2000s, Phil’s son, Ben joined Interco and was mentored by his uncle Bob. Ben brought youth, energy and passion to Interco. Today, Interco Fabrications is a household name in Canadian cottage country.
